Vacation and Fun at Lar Maná

January was filled with unforgettable moments. The children made the most of their vacation days, exploring the park, the green space, and the field at our home. Always accompanied by our social educators, they had the chance to create lasting memories in a safe and loving environment.

A Birthday of Giving: 25 Years, 25 Food Baskets

We were honored to receive a special gift from Karine, who chose to celebrate her 25th birthday in a truly meaningful way. She collected and donated 25 food baskets to Lar Maná—an act of love that touched our hearts deeply. We are incredibly grateful for such a beautiful initiative!

Beach Day: Fun and New Experiences

Nothing beats a sunny day at the beach! Our children had an unforgettable time playing by the ocean, laughing, and enjoying the fresh sea breeze. Organized by our educators, this outing provided a unique opportunity for them to explore their creativity, develop their senses, and embrace new experiences.

Movie and Shopping Adventure: Sonic 3 on the Big Screen

Another amazing trip! The children had the chance to watch Sonic 3 at the movie theater. Beyond the excitement of the film, it also taught valuable lessons about teamwork, overcoming challenges, and perseverance. It was an enriching experience filled with wonder and fun!

Pool Day and a Heart Full of Gratitude

A sunny day, lots of splashing, and endless fun! The kids enjoyed refreshing pool games, followed by a special lunch to celebrate another joyful moment at Lar Maná. We always reinforce Christian values and encourage gratitude, and the children expressed their appreciation in the sweetest way.

Little Chefs: Cooking Workshop

Our little ones got their hands dirty in a fun-filled cooking workshop! They prepared their own snacks, learning about independence, motor skills, and self-confidence. The best part? Enjoying their delicious creations with big smiles on their faces!

Art and Creativity: A Special Visit

We welcomed a wonderful group of young art students who led an afternoon of creative activities for our children. It was a magical experience, where each child had the chance to explore their artistic talents, express themselves, and discover hidden skills.

A Birthday Picnic to Remember

To wrap up the month in the best way possible, we celebrated the birthday of one of our children with a special party! The celebration took place in our green area, featuring a themed picnic planned by the kids themselves. It was an unforgettable moment, full of joy, laughter, and togetherness!

We are so grateful for all the love and support that make these beautiful moments possible. Here’s to more unforgettable experiences ahead!

February

As the school year begins, our routine is back in full swing with renewed energy. At Lar Maná, we welcome children in vulnerable situations, providing them with care, protection, and lots of love. This month, we had the joy of reintegrating a child with their family and welcoming two new children into our big family.

Morning Study Sessions

Our children who attend school in the afternoon had the invaluable support of our educator, Aunt Marilene, to help them with their schoolwork in the mornings. This guidance is essential to ensuring good academic performance and boosting their confidence.

Baby Development

“Tummy time” was one of the most practiced activities among our babies this month. This exercise is crucial for strengthening their muscles and stimulating motor skills, such as rolling over, sitting up, and crawling. With great care, we encourage every stage of our little ones’ development.

Solidarity That Transforms Lives

Our team has been working hard to organize our charity ‘garage sale’! The goal is to turn donations into resources that help keep our mission alive. Clothes, shoes, bags, and jewelry that cannot be directly used by the children are sold at our bazaar, helping to cover staff salaries. Every donation is an act of love that makes a real difference!

Milk Donation

We received a very special visit from the “Supera” team from João Pessoa, who surprised us with a generous milk donation. This contribution will supply our children for the next three months! Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for such a beautiful gesture of kindness.

Training for Social Educators

At Lar Maná, we believe that effective communication is key to the well-being of the children in our care. That’s why we organized another round of training for our social educators, focusing on the theme “Building Pathways to Assertive Communication.” This training strengthens behavioral management techniques and fosters an environment of active listening and mutual respect.

Dental Health Check-Up

Once again, we had the privilege of working with dedicated professionals—Dr. Ana Amélia, Dr. Verônica, and Dr. Renata Leitão—who provided free dental care for our children. We are incredibly grateful for their kindness and commitment to oral health!

Vaccinations Up to Date

A technical team from the Chã da Mangabeira Health Center visited us to ensure that all our children’s vaccinations were up to date. Preventive care is essential for their health and well-being!

Frevo-Themed Cultural Activity

Carnival is a time of joy, and our children celebrated this Brazilian tradition with a creative activity focused on frevo, a vibrant dance from Pernambuco. They made their own frevo umbrellas using painting and collage techniques, fostering artistic expression and cultural awareness.

Back to School

The start of the school year is always filled with anticipation and new opportunities. For our children, this moment represents much more than just returning to the classroom—it is a crucial step in their growth, learning, and reintegration into society.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helps make these moments possible. Together, we continue to transform lives with love and dedication!
