Purple August – Training with Our Educators

Throughout August, our educators took part in a special training focused on Purple August, a campaign dedicated to combating violence against women.

Each educator left this training better equipped to welcome, guide, and above all, share the message of respect, care, and protection. Here at Lar Maná, we know that to educate is also to plant values that can shape the future.

Purple August with the Kids

Purple August was also brought to our children in a playful and meaningful way. Through hands-on activities and group conversations, we explored themes like respect, empathy, and the importance of building healthy relationships from an early age.

Even the little ones understood that “taking care of others” is an act of love. These moments show that raising awareness in childhood helps create a more hopeful tomorrow.

A Special Treat from McDonald’s

On Saturday, August 23rd, our kids were blessed with a delicious McDia Feliz meal, thanks to the generosity of @coletivoamarrecife and friends.

It was a joyful afternoon filled with care, excitement, and plenty of smiles here at Lar Maná. The children were glowing with happiness and enjoyed every moment with gratitude.

Social Development Department Monitoring

In August, we received a monitoring visit from the Department of Social Development. These meetings are so important for evaluating and strengthening the work we do at Lar Maná, always with partnership and transparency.

Through this follow-up, we can keep growing and ensuring that every child and teen receives the quality care they deserve. We’re grateful for every careful eye that helps us stay firm in our mission.

New Arrivals

August was also a time to welcome new children into Lar Maná. Every arrival is both a challenge and an opportunity. We received them with love, dedication, and hope — because we believe love heals and transforms.

On the Road to FLL – Preparing for São Paulo

Our robotics students are counting down the days!

On October 18th, they’ll represent Lar Maná — and our entire city — at the First Lego League (FLL), a national competition in São Paulo that brings together talent from all over Brazil.

The preparation has been intense: lots of studying, teamwork, dedication, and of course, creativity. But to make this dream a reality, we need everyone’s help! We’re raising funds to cover the trip and give our kids the chance to live this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

An Afternoon filled with Popsicles

Sometimes the simplest moments are the most special. We hosted a fun afternoon of activities with popsicles for our kids. Between laughter, games, and the sweet taste of the treat, we felt the lightness that small gestures can bring.

More than just cooling off, it was a chance to celebrate childhood, friendship, and the bonds that grow stronger each day at Lar Maná.

This was only possible thanks to a generous donation from FROSTY popsicle factory, who gifted our children with love and kindness — a gesture that warmed hearts and spread even more smiles.

At Lar Maná, every meal is more than just food — it’s comfort, care, and health for our children. Breakfast is prepared with love so they can start the day well-nourished and full of energy. Every meal throughout the day is planned with balance, flavor, and affection, because we believe the table is a place for sharing and love.
