Celebrating Life: Birthdays at Lar Maná!
Each month, we set aside the final Friday to honor the birthdays of our children. In March, three of our little ones celebrated another journey around the sun. Their smiles light up our world, and it’s a privilege to make their special day truly memorable. We pour our hearts into every detail, ensuring they feel surrounded by love. Here’s to a lifetime of health and happiness for each of them!
Embracing Easter
A Time of Renewal and Reflection! Easter holds a special place in our hearts as it symbolizes renewal and hope through Christ’s sacrifice. At Maná do Céu Pre-School, we strive to instill in our children the true essence of this holiday—beyond bunnies and chocolates— so they understand it as a symbol of God’s love for us.
To celebrate, we hosted an Easter party at Maná do Céu Pre-School. We shared bread and grape juice, symbolizing the Last Supper, and in the afternoon, we embarked on our rendition of the “Passion of Christ at Lar Maná”. Through reenactments of pivotal moments in Jesus’s life—like the Last Supper, the time in Gethsemane, the crucifixion, and the resurrection—we immersed ourselves in our Savior’s story, learning and growing together.
Water Day
Educating on the Vitality of Water! On March 22nd, we observed World Water Day by engaging our children in activities aimed at fostering awareness of this precious resource.
Whether at Maná do Céu Pre-School or in tutoring classes for local children, we emphasized the conscious use of water, highlighting its significance in our lives.
Thanks to the support of the Itaú Social Project, initiatives like these empower us to nurture informed and engaged citizens who understand the importance of collective well-being and environmental preservation.
Dreams in Motion
Introducing Robotics Training! This year, we’re turning dreams into reality by offering robotics classes to the children of Lar Maná and the surrounding community, with the generous backing of Itaú Social Project.
Our pedagogical team underwent specialized training provided by LEGO Education, covering practical learning, technology, innovation, robotics, and programming.
After developing those skills, our team is ready to guide our children towards a future filled with endless possibilities. We believe that through this course, countless doors can open for the kids, enriching their lives in ways beyond imagination.
Embarking on a Journey of Discovery
Robotics Classes in Session! After our team was trained, robotics classes kicked off at Lar Maná! We are thankful beyond words to be able to provide this to our children.
In the classes, our young learners aren’t just gaining tech know-how; they’re developing crucial skills like logical reasoning, teamwork, and problem-solving—tools necessary to face life’s challenges.
Building Bridges
Strengthening Community Bonds! At Lar Maná, our commitment extends beyond our walls. We’re rolling up our sleeves to uplift not only the children rescued from social vulnerability but also those in our local community who come from difficult backgrounds and are also in need of academic assistance and opportunities.
From computer classes to robotics and tutoring sessions, our aim is to broaden educational horizons while fostering stronger community ties. Recently, we hosted a gathering with parents to share updates on our progress, explain our projects, and address any questions or concerns. It’s amazing to witness the positive ripple effect this initiative is creating in our community.
