Birthdays of the Month

July was a month of celebrations! We threw a beautiful party to celebrate another year in the lives of our little ones. These moments are precious opportunities to create lasting memories.
One of our children even celebrated his first birthday, making the occasion even more special. May God continue to bless these children with health and happiness!

Acampakids

Every July, the Church of Christ organizes Acampakids, a children’s camp, right here at Lar Maná. This event is the highlight of the summer for our children, offering them the chance to meet new friends, play to their hearts’ content, and make unforgettable memories.

The funds raised from renting our space help support Lar Maná’s expenses. We’re so grateful to everyone who made this event possible and for the care and love shown to our little ones. It’s always a joy to see the children so happy and to have our space buzzing with activity. ….

AME VBS – A Journey Around the World

We were blessed once again to host the AME group (Adventurers in Evangelistic Missions) for their annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Lar Maná. This year’s theme, “Around the World,” took our children on a fascinating journey through different countries, exploring diverse cultures and traditions.
They sang, danced, played, and learned more about God’s love for all of us. We are immensely grateful to the AME group for their dedication, love, and care. You make a huge difference in these children’s lives, and we deeply appreciate this cherished partnership.

1st Robotics Championship – A Milestone Event

July 27th marked a special moment at Lar Maná: the grand finale of our first ever Robotics Championship! It was thrilling to see the children’s commitment and enthusiasm as they showcased what they’ve learned throughout the course.

The Paradoxo team took first place, but every participant walked away a winner in terms of learning, friendship, and experience. We’re incredibly proud of their progress and grateful to the Itaú Social Project for making this learning opportunity possible.

Special thanks to Laura, a friend of our Robotics teacher Paulo, who served as the judge of the competition. With her extensive experience in robotics championships, she provided valuable tips and encouragement to the children. To top off the day, we celebrated teacher Paulo’s birthday, honoring his dedication, competence, and love for Lar Maná’s mission.

School Vacation – Fun and Learning

During the school vacation, our pedagogical team organized a variety of fun activities and workshops to keep the children engaged. These activities focused on motor coordination, teamwork, cognitive development, and more.

We also had movie afternoons with popcorn, games, music, painting, and lots of fun. It’s incredible to see how much the children can learn while playing. Their smiles and joy are what drive us to continue creating these precious moments.

Summer Outings

We took advantage of the school holidays to shake things up a bit! The children enjoyed a sun-filled day at the beach, playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean. We also took them to the theater twice, where they delved into amazing stories and developed a taste for culture. These outings are essential for the social, emotional, and cultural development of our children, offering them new experiences and broadening their horizons.

Social Educator Training – Empowering Our Team

Every month, we hold training sessions for our social educators to support them in their daily work with the children. This month, psychologist Nataly Souza, social worker Anyse Carol, and coordinator Joana Vilar led a session focused on essential care practices for children and adolescents in foster care. They covered topics like hygiene habits to prevent disease and medication safety, which are crucial for promoting the well-being of our little ones.
